Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall

Into each life some rain must fall
But too much is fallin' in mine

Into each heart some tears must fall

But someday the sun will shine

Some folks can lose
the blues in their hearts

But when I think of you
another shower starts

Into each life some rain must fall

But too much is fallin' in mine

Μοναξιά Του Ιούνη - Loneliness of June

.....................................
Loneliness.
You are the convoy of men
enjoying a costless tranquillity,
the counterfeit look of rage
before getting naked to sorrow,
the immortal snow of Olympus
but also the fire of Hades that burns slowly,
black seas that lost the earth,
You are the Centuries
that persistingly nest pains
middle chest, through the nights.
Loneliness.
Yours and Mine
Never owned completely
By anyone.

Όλα Σε Θυμίζουν - Everything Reminds Me Of You

Everything reminds me of you
your private everyday things,
pure , simple and lovely,
as if they wait with me for you to come
even if the day would break for the last time.
All of our love fills over our bedroom
like a song we whispered together,
faces and lyrics and the dream creaking,
when the day comes what will be true?
Everything reminds me of you
your private everyday things,
pure , simple and lovely,
everything reminds me of you,
and our very best friends,
one in the restaurant, another one in the cinema.
I am just alone and now reading
the letter you had sent, before
we kissed for the very first time...

........................................................
The days of our future stand in front of us
like a row of little lit candles
golden, warm, and lively little candles.
The days past remain behind us,
a mournful line of extinguished candles;
the ones nearest are still smoking,
cold candles, melted, and bent.
I do not want to look at them;
their form saddens me,
and it saddens me to recall their first light.
I look ahead at my lit candles.
I do not want to turn back, lest I see and shudder
at how fast the dark line lengthens,
at how fast the extinguished candles multiply.

Ο Αγρός Των Λέξεων - The Field Of Words

Like the bee round a wild flower, / so am Ι. /Ι prowl continuously around the word./ Ι thank the long lines of ancestors / who moulded the voice./ Cutting it into links, / they made meanings. / Like smelters they forged it into gold / and it became Homer, Aeschylus, the Gospels and other jewels./ With the thread of words, / this gold from gold, / which comes from the depths of my heart, / Ι am linked, /Ι take part in the world./ Consider: Ι said and wrote, "Ι love."

Man Of Constant Sorrow

I am a man of constant sorrow
I've seen trouble all my day.
I bid farewell to old Kentucky
The place where I was born and raised.
(The place where he was born and raised.)
For six long years I've been in trouble
No pleasures here on earth I found
For in this world I'm bound to ramble
I have no friends to help me now.
[chorus] He has no friends to help him now

It's fare thee well my old lover
I never expect to see you again
For I'm bound to ride that northern railroad
Perhaps I'll die upon this train.
[chorus] Perhaps he'll die upon this train.
You can bury me in some deep valley
For many years where I may lay
Then you may learn to love another
While I am sleeping in my grave.
[chorus] While he is sleeping in his grave.
Maybe your friends think I'm just a stranger
My face you'll never see no more.
But there is one promise that is given
I'll meet you on God's golden shore.
[chorus] He'll meet you on God's golden shore...

.........................................................................
What a disaster my mother / the same crying song fits us both,/ there will be no light for me no more,/ the sun won't shine for me any more.// Oh,you Phrygian creek and you mountain of Ida,/ where once Priamus drove Paris away from his mother,/and left him there to find his death! / Paris, that everyone inside the Phrygian city called him out as "child of Ida".// How much better it would be / if you did not give to this man / who was brought up as a cowboy,/ so as to become Alexander one day,/a den, there in the silver water,/ where the nymphs' fountains are,/ and a meadow rich of grass and plants too,/ and flowers, roses and hyacinths,/ a perfect spot for goddesses to go pick them up,/ and so Athina went there once,/ and the deceitful Aphroditi too,/ and Hera and Hermes, the messenger of Zeus, came along.// And Aphroditi, the lady of lust,boasted,/ and Athina boasted for her spear,/ and Hera as sharing the same bed with Zeus,/ set up a beauty contest,/ and this hateful choice,/ is leading me to death../ To this death my friends, that glory brings to the Greeks,/ for my sacrifice to Artemis, will take them to Troy.// And my father denied me mother,oh,mother,/ and left me here helpless, while he goes away too./ Oh,how unlucky am I! / Outlaw Helen proved to be so bitter for me,/ and so they kill me,/ I am perished from an unholy knife of an unholy father.// Oh, I'd hope these ships of copper pistons,/with this fleet of warriors going to Troy,/would never be summoned in this port!/ Oh, I'd hope Zeus never casted wind in Euripus,/ he who adjusts human breaths for their sails in a different way: To some he offers joys and good sailing start,/while to others he offers problems and sorrows and sailing delays./ Oh, so much trouble that ephemeral mankind faces,/and it is so bitter for man to know his fate..

Mandy

Election Day - Μέρα Εκλογών

Warm sun, quiet air
an old man sits
in the doorway of
a broken house
boards for windows
plaster falling
from between the stones
and strokes the head
of a spotted dog
......................

The Road Not Taken (A Poem For My Birthday)

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

..........................................

Robert Frost

She's Leaving Home

Wednesday morning at five o'clock/as the day begins //Silently closing her bedroom door / Leaving the note/ that she hoped would say more, / She goes downstairs to the kitchen,/ clutching her handkerchief. /Quietly turning the back door key, / Stepping outside she is free ,//She (we gave her most of our lives)/ is leaving (sacrificed most of our lives), / home (we gave her everything money could buy), //She's leaving home /after living alone /for so many years (bye bye). // Father snores as his wife, /gets into her dressing gown. /Picks up the letter that's lying there, /Standing alone at the top of the stairs,/She breaks down /and cries to her husband :/Daddy our baby's gone. /Why would she treat us so thoughtlessly/ How could she do this to me ?//She (We never thought of ourselves)/ is leaving (never a thought for ourselves) /home (we struggled hard all our lives to get by) ,//She's leaving home, /after living alone,/ for so many years (bye bye). //Friday morning at nine o'clock/ she is far away ./Waiting to keep the appointment she made ,/Meeting a man from the motor trade, /She (what did we do that was wrong) /is having (we didn't know it was wrong) /fun (fun is the one thing that money can't buy),/Something inside, /that was always denied ,/for so many years (bye bye,/ She's leaving home (bye bye)...

Είδες;
..............................
Joy , joy.
We don't care
what our kiss will spare
in time and in song.

We touched
The great aimless
that doesn't look for aim.

God
shapes himself
in our kiss.
Proudly we execute
the command of infinity

A small window
sees the world.
A sparrow tells
the sky.
Don't speak.

On the edge of our lips
stands the absolute.

We stop talking and listen
inside the blue night
the sea breathing,
like the breast of a happy girl
who can not fit inside
her joy.

A star fell down.
You saw it?
Silence.
Close your eyes.

There In The South - Εκεί Στο Νότο

There in the south
where death creaks and love bangs,
I travelled for years
like an empty seat,
searching to find the proper body.
There in the lights
Night found its very first signs
I had run out of cigarettes and compassion,
and
as a present, you gave me smoke in one kiss
What city,what country
what sea is travelling you now?
You stop talking and remember,
and you laugh ecstatically in your sleep.
What city,what country
what sea is travelling you now?
There in the south
Where love was drawn in lotto,
coiled like a lizard on its shadow,
I was falling like a coin in your black sea abyss.
Pale candle holders
Your poverty lighted them up and fed them with envy,
but your moans syllabled 'I love you',
like a sick baby in its cradle.
What city,what country
what sea is travelling you now?
You stop talking and remember,
and you laugh ecstatically in your sleep.
What city,what country
what sea is travelling you now?
